Meet Oleg: New CFI in the Skies
Welcome Oleg, our newest CFI! This summer, Oleg moved from San Diego and joined our team, and we’re absolutely hyped that he’s here.
Check out the Q&A below to learn more about him.
How long have you been flying, and when did you start?
I started flying as a student pilot in January 2020. I've been in aviation since 2016 as a helicopter Naval Aircrewman in the US Navy.
Why do you want to be a pilot?
I always wanted to be a pilot. Even as a little kid, I'd draw planes and helicopters.
Why did you choose to work with Rogue Aviation?
I chose Rogue because of the small and friendly team environment, and the great location. I love that we all know each other and know most of each other's students as well.
What is your favorite part about flying? Favorite part about teaching?
The sense of freedom while flying a helicopter is unmatched. It feels peaceful to be in the air. And the sights are amazing! I love seeing my students progress. When things finally click and you start to see your students turn into helicopter pilots!
What tips would you like to share for future pilots?
Be ready and eager to learn! Becoming a pilot requires drive and dedication. But don't forget to smile... you're flying a helicopter!
What's your favorite part about being a pilot?
Being a pilot means being part of the greatest community out there! Aviation is super exciting to me and seeing all the possibilities for the future keeps me motivated.
We’re so glad you’re FLYING ROGUE, OLEG!
